My name is Liz de Jager and I am an aspiring author.
With that out of the way, I can’t shake the feeling that I sound like someone confessing a mortal sin!
I’m not, by the way!
When I first started this blog I had just started writing Curse of the Djinn. I wanted to enter it into a writing competition but changed my mind along the way. Since then, things have changed quite a bit. I’ve completed the novel in pretty good time and I’ve had a few people read a handful of pages over to give me some imput. I have a friend helping me edit it so that I can approach agents with the shiny manuscript and perchance I am successful in my pitch!
The novel is aimed at readers 11+ and it’s a little bit Indiana Jones, a little bit Tomb Raider and hopefully a whole lot of fun. I had a blast doing my research and figuring out how to get my main character, Nicholas into a whole boatload of trouble and then out of it again.
